Item:-Antique silver plate extra large table centre with 3 mythical Hippocampus creatures to each foot. The Hippocampus is a mythical seahorse which is a symbol of agility, strength and hope. Sailors regarded the Hippocampus as a good omen.
Superb casting quality and great detailing and very decorative table centre from this renown maker James Deakin. In the 40 or so years in the silver trade I have never come across anything like this, the images do not do this justice and this would grace any fine dining table.
A must for any collector but still very usable today.
Any black or white/yellow marks are reflections.
