Item:-Antique Sterling Solid Silver VictorianWhistle in sheath. The whistle has an acorn finial with oak leaves splaying up from the base with this adornment I think this was probably owned by an Officer in the Cheshire Regiment. The whistle fits snuggling into the sheath which is opened by the pressing thumb release. With suspension ring to the top and two screws to the side where it would be attached to the cross body belt. This type is often referred to has a lighthouse whistle. Made of heavy gauge silver and in very good condition. A must for any silver or military collector but still very usable today.
